Neoféma bourke
- Description
- Bourke's parrot is a small Australian parrot, growing to around 19 cm and weighing about 45 g. Its plumage is a subtle earthy brown washed with pink on the belly, with a blue rump and delicate blue edging on the wings. Males can be told apart by a blue band above the beak, which females lack. It ranks among the calmest and quietest of all parrots.

- It inhabits the dry and semi-arid interior of Australia, especially acacia (mulga) scrub and open savanna.
- Diet
- It feeds mainly on grass and herb seeds gathered from the ground, supplemented with green plant matter.
- Reproduction
- It lays 3-6 eggs, which are incubated for about 18 days, with both parents caring for the chicks.
- Lifespan
- approximately 10-15 years

- It is one of the few parrots active at dusk and dawn, venturing out to feed and drink in the low light.
